Favorite new old quote

I had to give a talk at church today. My topic was self-reliance. While doing some research I came across a quote that I love, from Marion G. Romney in a talk he gave in 1982.

The Lord can only guide you, if you move your feet.

Isn't that great? It makes me want to get movin. And if you are curious, I gave my talk in english and had a translator repeat me, line after line. Interesting.

We have been without internet access for nearly 2 weeks and it seems like I can't live without it. How pathetic. Anyway, the trick to the light saber pictures is easy. We used twistable crayons that were twisted all the way out. The kids stand still and we position the twistables right infront of the camera in the same angle as the light sabers. And then, presto, the magic comes when the bright flash hits the twistables. Super easy!

Star Wars Fans

The kids have become obsessed with Star Wars. We had the Elders over for dinner and they taught us how to take pictures that look like you have cool light sabers. I know the kids dont look very excited in this picture, but they really were, once they saw how the pictures turned out.
