Halloween at School

I am still a demo with SU, but havent used my supplies in a while. The guilt finally got to me, so last week, I decided I just need to stamp. And I found out I still enjoy it.

My Surprise Birthday party

--WARNING--this post may contain lots of mushy gushy statements about how fabulous and wonderful my husband is.

T threw me a surprise party for my 30th birthday. Techincally I am not 30 yet, (at least for another 6 days), but T planned it early since my mom was going to be in town and he didnt think he would have actually pulled it off the day of or too near my birthday.

So, I was surprised.

T rented out this beautiful place called Villa Santa Fe. He even made the invites himself--including a little poem. He attended a sampling session to get the food perfect too. He did everything. And it turned out wonderful!!! Thanks T for being you! I love your guts!

T even got the centerpieces. Turquoise beta fish in a bowl with turquoise and blue rocks with a turquoise bow. He bought fish food too because he sent the fish home as party favors--gosh, he just thought of everything!!! He covered the tables with little seashells--it was too stinkin' cute!!!

T picked out really yummy food he knew I would love. It was totally non-mexican food--I loved it! First: fresh fruit, fresh veggies, & spinach dip. Then two pasta salads, one of which happens to be my fav--bowtie noodles tossed in a little olive oil with grilled chicken, fesh spinach, and pine nuts. Mmmm.

T even hired a photographer. I think I have more photos of us from this night than I do from our wedding--note-- our camera man at our wedding didnt know his shutter wasnt opening until he went to print our wedding photos and there was NOTHING there. Here are couple of our favs:

I mentioned to T that I just wanted to have a dinner party with our close friends for my birthday. And get this, he actually listened to me and did just that. It was great!

More birthdays

C had his first friend party this year. He invited a couple kids from his class at school and church and we had lots of fun playing outside on the trampoline and swing set. We also made scary Halloween hands out of rubber gloves, popcorn, and black jelly beans.

Belated Birthdays

I cant post about my bday until I post about my kiddos birthdays. Hee hee! L's was first, in August. He has turned into this total goof. He has his own gooffy sense of humor too! We only do friend parties every other year, so this year he got to have a regular old family party. L reminded us to not forget decorations though! He told me he wanted a pair of skates. When I found some Heely's I thought those would be perfect. L really liked them at first, now he wants a real pair of skates. And he is already planning his next birthday party. --Get ready Becca, cause he wants to have it at your house.-- Logan and Connor were best buds during the summer and all he keeps talking about is going to Connor's house.
